In his short time as a Member of Parliament, Darren Jones has
earned a justifiably high reputation and is seen by many as having a
successful future within the Labour Party. In his talk he will be
addressing the chaos of Brexit, his experiences as a new MP in this
‘Brexit Parliament’ and his support for a People’s Vote, following which
he will take questions from the audience.
ABOUT DARREN JONES MP
Darren Jones was elected Labour MP for Bristol North-West in 2017. He
is a pro-Europe MP and believes that the Government is managing Brexit
badly. Darren is a member of the European Scrutiny Committee and
supports the campaign for a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal.
He also works on issues related to the digital economy,
technology and the environment. He is a Member of the Science &
Technology Select Committee and is involved in cross-party parliamentary
groups, such as the Parliamentary Information, Communications and
Technology Forum, and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Consumer
Rights and veganism. He has a particular interest in renewable energy
and the technology needed to support it.
He can be followed on Twitter at @darrenpjones, and on Facebook.
Finally, not only does he play the saxophone, but apparently he's the first MP to have the name Darren!
Darren Jones’s talk and Q&A session will be
followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to chat informally
with Mike and other members of the audience.

This event is organised by STRATFORD4EUROPE
Stratford-on-Avon for Europe, or Stratford4Europe for short, is a local, cross-party, grass-roots organisation campaigning for Britain to play a leading role within a strong and united European Union.
Stratford4Europe is campaigning to make the positive case for the European Union in order to show, through the use of fair and honest argument, what leaving the EU will really mean for the people of Britain in terms of both our economy and national security.
Stratford4Europe consists of a Steering Group, which is always open to new members, as well as a rapidly growing supporter base. We have a wide range of ages and backgrounds but share in common the fact that we are all citizens with a deep concern that the future of this country will be severely damaged by it leaving the EU.
