A copyeditor is someone who improves a document by reorganising paragraphs, rewriting sentences and applying consistent formatting.
A proofreader is someone who checks written documents for spelling, punctuation and grammar errors.

Having worked for a London publishing company for several years, I've now relocated to Alcester and work as a freelance copywriter, copyeditor and proofreader. I am available for editorial projects large and small at very reasonable rates.
