Tarantara concert

The concert will take place in St Nicholas church, with a 20 minute interval, during which refreshments and a variety of drinks will be served. There will also be a brief film show and talk given by our partners Open Doors, a Christian charity who have particularly strong contacts in the Middle East and give several millions of £’s-worth of help to the refugee camps in Iraq, Syria and the surrounding countries. This comprises mainly money for monthly family food packs; money to support schools; and trauma treatment, particularly for children. This is the second time Tarantara have supported our cause. Since their foundation in 2003 they have helped raise over £100, 000 for various good causes. They rehearse in Arrow Village Hall, although the members come from a wide radius around. They sing a wide range of light and less light music, from spirituals, to holy songs and songs from the opera, to much-loved popular songs. Their most distinguishing feature is that they are auditioned so, although they are amateurs, they all hit the note at the right time! They are also good fun!
