Marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and death, Warwickshire Poetry Voices will kick start their free poetry in performance workshop programme at Alcester
Library with a special session reinterpreting Shakespeare’s sonnets on Saturday 23rd April.
Workshops, led by performer Georgina Biggs, will then take place every Saturday between 10am-12pm until the 4th June, with the exception of Saturday 14th May.
This series of workshops will explore a wide range of classical and contemporary
Poetry, and looking at how poetry can be released from the page and performed for a live audience. Sessions will offer opportunities to meet new people, learn new skills and gain creative confidence in performance poetry. Workshops are open to all levels of ability and for adults and young people aged 13years+.
