ALCESTER OLYMPIC OPENING CEREMONY

Come and join the procession in the lane by football field in Oversley Green by the bridge. The Procession will include all the schools who wish to take part carrying their banners. The Court Leet and torch bearer will head up the Procession with the Silver Band playing on the St Nic's Church Green.
The Procession makes its way to Conway fields where the schools assemble into the Olympic Rings which will be painted on the grass.
This will be followed by:
- A short welcome and introduction by the Chair of the Olympic Committee.
- Performances given by Alcester Youth & Drama Group as well as some schools
- Balloon release
- BBQ, ice creams, and squash will be available for schools.
This procession kicks off 2 weeks of activity across the Town and neighbouring villages.
