From the car park, go left and cross over into attractive Alcester town. Stroll the medieval High Street and meander left of the impressive Church into quaint old Butter Street to see the fine old Town Hall. Arc right in front of the Town Hall and walk to the corner of Henley Street crossing over the street and strolling down the delightful Malt Mill Lane. The residents in this much photographed lane welcome your company so go right through the archway and enjoy their beautiful gardens - at bottom of the Lane there is a classic view of Malt Mill Lane for you to enjoy.
Continue right down to a car parking area and then turn left through parkland by the side of the River Arrow to reach and cross over the Old Stratford road. Proceed along the lane opposite into Oversley Green passing by Alcester Football ground and crossing a lovely bridge over the River Arrow to arrive in the lovely village. At the road junction in the village, bear left and in about 75m, go right along a signed hedged footpath which initially crosses a field and then continues behind a row of houses and a Golf Driving Range. At a junction of paths, bear right across pastureland then arc left in a generally easterly direction aiming to the right of Oversley Hill Farm and then descending gently to arrive opposite to a Severn Trent sub station.
Turn right under the A46 road bridge, then bear right into Oversley Wood walking along the wide stone track through the attractive wood - it is a picture of bluebells and wildflowers in spring each year and you may catch the sight of wild deer in the trees. Walk the track ahead for about ½ a mile before you go left up a steep incline. At the top pause for breath and enjoy the fine retrospective view then walk the track going right - if not too late, you will pass the most beautiful bluebells on the gentle descent back to the main track. When you reach this turn left then exit the wood onto a footpath/drive passing Rosehall Farm to arrive in the attractive village of Exhall. Turn right and meander along the very quiet village road until you reach a T-junction in Wixford (opposite the Three Horse Shoes)
Turn right along the pavement for about 100 yards then go right again up the church lane. Pause to visit the attractive old church, then go right walking a good driveway past Oversley Farm. The lane bends left past the entrance gates to Oversley Castle and later becomes a farm track where it arcs left towards the landmark grain silos at Lower Oversley Lodge Farm - you will see Ragley Hall on the hill to the left. From the farm descend going left over the footbridge over the busy A46 road and entering Primrose Lane. You will pass by the most beautiful of thatched houses as you descend to Mill Lane Go left along Mill Lane for about 600 yards, then just before reaching a residential caravan site, go right to cross a footbridge over the River Arrow passing by residential houses on the way into Alcester and soon you will arrive back at the Bleachfield Street car park.
