My love affair with baking started when I was a small child. One of my earliest memories  is of standing on a small wooden stool in a warm fragrant kitchen stirring cake mixture with my Mother. Later, my Father would be presented with my creation. He was always thrilled as he knew it had been made especially for him. mmm

Throughout my life I have baked for family and friends as a hobby whilst persuing a different career path and bringing up a family. Three years ago I bought a tea shop in the heart of Warwickshire and decided to do all the baking myself as I struggled to source the kind of cakes I wanted to offer. I believe the very best cakes are made with the very best ingredients together with a lavish helping of love.

The teashop has proved to be very successful and I receive many requests for cakes by post, either for a treat at home or as a unique and special gift for a loved one. Having secured additional premises, completed an advanced food & hygiene course and sourced packaging that ensures all cakes are received in perfect condition I am now delighted to offer "LakesCakes"  handmade cakes online. All cakes are made to order and gift wrapped with your personal message. For more delicate or gooey cakes there is still the option of arranging collection.
